Before we can implement solutions, we have to have strategies that are agreed up (or, not objected to), but we need better processes for doing that. Our current methods are based in traditional, top-down power-over, mechanical models. These only work partially, and only work well for those who have the power.

There is a system, created by an engineer, designed to leverage human reasoning, called Dynamic Governance (DG). He is an activist who wanted to make something that appreciates human rights. It took many years of trial and error and technical knowledge of systems, but he came up with a method that keeps it's elements (people) equivalent in power, produces good decisions, is self-organizing, and so, works like a living, cooperative system, not a mechanical, domination-based system.

DG was developed in the 1970s and has proven that it works and works well.

Personally, I believe humans need this type of system so we can think together, make decisions together, and act together in a more conscious way - the only way to counteract peak oil and climate change. This is what I mean by being "before strategy." We need to have a way to create unity and buy-in so that we can come up with those strategies and work together to accomplish what we need to.

Please find out more about it. One place is my website at www.beyonddemocracythefilm.com

You are right in there. We

You are right in there. We should be one in solving a problem against Global Warming. I think we have our own way to help our mother earth in our own simple way.

The goal has to be known before employing strategies.

Dear Ted,

before we have "...strategies that are agreed up (or, not objected to)...", we have to know what we want to achieve, what we want to accomplish by employing of those "strategies". Without knowing as precisely as is possible what we want to accomplish by employing of any strategies, we could hardly accomplish anything ever.

This is what ModelEarth concept proposes--to collectively, with the input of all ideas of any- and every-body, decide what the ideal state of any geopolitical entity should be.

Once it is co-operatively decided what the actual goal should be, then it would be possible to decide what strategies would be best for achieving of that goal.

Thanks, Hearthstone.
