Maine Governor John Baldacci announced today that the U.S. Department of Energy is committing $20 Million to Maine to further the development of deepwater wind energy projects. After Ken Salazar finally approved the Cape Wind Power project this spring, Maine and eight other states formed The Atlantic Offshore Wind Energy Consortium, designed to help streamline the review and siting process for projects in federal waters.
