Ralph Buehler is an assistant professor in urban affairs and planning at Virginia Tech. Most of his research uses international comparisons and falls into three areas: the influence of transport policy, land use, and socio-demographics on travel behavior; walking and cycling to improve public health; and regional planning for sustainable transport.
