Since 1998, Ms Wahlberg has held the function of National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings following a joint declaration of the European Union in 1998. Her duties include the collection, analysis and reporting of information about the overall situation of trafficking in human beings to, within and through Sweden. Ms Wahlberg is a Detective Inspector at the Department for Police Affairs within the National Police Board in Sweden. She is responsible for the development and organization of training programs for police officers, prosecutors and judges on different aspects of trafficking in human beings.
