Lisa M. Brady is associate professor of history at Boise State University. She teaches courses in North American and global environmental history, world history, and historiography. Her first book War upon the Land: Military Strategy and the Transformation of Southern Landscapes during the American Civil War will be published in April 2012 by University of Georgia Press. Her current research project focuses on the history of conflict and the environment in Korea during the twentieth century.
