Francis is an atmospheric chemist with wide ranging interests in the atmospheric sciences. His laboratory applies fundamental physicochemical approaches to investigate atmospheric species and develops novel instrumentation to probe their processes. In addition to his laboratory studies he is interested in the intersection of policy with science.
