Throughout his career, Phil has developed and applied the fields of system dynamics and design to complex problems impacting business, community and the environment. His professional and academic qualifications span the fields of architecture, environmental physics and energy conservation, system dynamics and public health.  Phil spent 26 years in the management consulting field eventually leading health care industry and system dynamics practices with major professional services and technology firms including EDS Management Consulting Services, A.T. Kearney, Blue Shield of California, and Science Applications International Corporation. Relocating to Arizona in early 2006, Phil served President and CEO of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation - based at Taliesin West in Scottsdale – and as President of the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture through 2009. He restructured the Foundation’s governance and operations and established new business, academic and cultural partnerships including the City of Scottsdale Historic Preservation Commission, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, The Getty, The University of Wisconsin’s Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, and The Conservation Fund. Since 2010, Phil’s personal passion for innovation – in all its forms – has been focused at the intersection of public policy, sustainable economic development, healthy communities and re-shaping of human habitats, the issues at the core of Transpolis Global (www.transpolisglobal.com) and Shaping Footprints, Inc. (An Arizona Non-profit corporation – www.sfpinc.org) with operations in the US, UK and the Czech Republic serving clients worldwide.  Transpolis clients range from community alliances and city administrations to Native American communities and Schools and include the Gila River Indian Community, Velux Corporation (Copenhagen), the Office of the Deputy Mayor of Barcelona and the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia.
