Christopher F. D’Elia is professor and dean of the School of the Coast and Environment at Louisiana State University. He is serving a three-year term as a member of the US National Committee for the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO, representing the Coastal and Estuarine Research Federation.
