In 2002, Jane Roberts co-founded 34 Million Friends of the United Nations Population Fund. For this work she has been recognized by the American Public Health Association, by MS Magazine, and by the United Nations Association. In 2005 she was one of 1,000 women nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize as part of the 1,000 Peace Women Project by UNESCO in Bern, Switzerland.
