Dr. Douglas Miller is the Director of the Center for Environmental Informatics in the Earth and Environmental Systems Institute and a member of the Graduate Faculty (Associate Professor) in the Department of Geography in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences at Penn State University. Dr. Miller has been actively involved in applying remote sensing and geospatial technology to interdisciplinary research challenges in the earth and environmental sciences for the past 22 years. His most recent work has focused on developing information resources and decision support tools for use in a wide range of resource management and environmental science applications. Dr. Miller’s research center, one of the only of its kind in the world, develops innovative, web-based tools and applications that allow individuals to make useful and productive decisions in numerous agricultural and environmental management contexts.
