Professor and Head of the School of Design, Carnegie Mellon University
Terry combines freelance design consulting, guest teaching at colleges and universities in Europe and North America with her own PhD research. She is a lecturer with Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design at The University of Dundee in the Design History, Theory and Practice department. As a PhD researcher with The Centre for the Study of Natural Design at Dundee University, her focus is on how principles from holistic science and Goethean method can inform a more responsible and appropriate design process. Her work proposes that sustainable design must arise out of a more holistic/ecological worldview.
