Gaëtan Vanloqueren is a research associate at the Earth and Life Institute of the University of Louvain in Belgium. An agroeconomist by training, with a PhD focused on innovation dynamics within agro-food chains, he has been a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. His main research interests include science and technology policies and the political economy of food chains. He is an adviser to the UN special rapporteur on the right to food.
