The author will be no stranger to long-time readers of Solutions, having shared some of the themes and ideas in this book in the perspective piece "Scenes from the Great Transition" in Volume 3, Issue 4 from 2012. To fully appreciate the content of Journey, it is necessary to know something about the arc of Raskin's professional life and his ongoing evolution.
