I wanted to go. Boy did I ever, but there was no way I could afford it. The work I do in the Happiness Movement is volunteer, unfunded and I scrape by just to meet basic costs. But then they said they would pay my way. I was in. That was in 2017. I went to Dubai with some trepidation. I am, after all, a typical American in many ways.
