Alanna Shaikh is an international development consultant currently based in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. She has worked in international development for about a decade with nongovernmental organizations, contractors, the U.S. government, and a United Nations agency. She has been in charge of programs in East Africa, Central Asia, and the Middle East and is currently a TED fellow.
