Allen Brookes is a computer scientist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Corvallis, Oregon. He specializes in the development of ecological simulation models and their integration within decision-support frameworks. He is a codeveloper of several simulation models (HexSim, SMURF, and VELMA) that EPA is using to assess how alternative land management scenarios affect fish and wildlife populations and land-water interactions.
