Benjamin Burkhard works at the Ecology Centre of the University of Kiel. He is part of several interdisciplinary projects, dealing, for example, with irrigated rice agriculture in Asia, landscape management in northern Scandinavia, and integrative coastal zone management. In these projects, he has been carrying out integrative human-environmental systems analyses, spatial ecosystem service modeling, and indicator applications as well as resilience and adaptability assessments.
