Enrico Giovannini has been the Italian Minister of Labor and Social Policies since April 2013. From August 2009 to April 2013 he was president of the Italian Statistical Institute. He was also president of the Statistical Advisory Board for the Human Development Report of the United Nations, member of the Partnership Group of the European Statistical Committee, and chairman of the board of the World Bank international project for the measurement of purchasing power parity.
