Gary Eilerts is currently the USAID Program Manager for the Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET). He is responsible for overall management and implementation of the activities of the six principal FEWS NET team members (Field Management contract, NASA, NOAA, USDA, USGS, and Technology Support contract), which provide on-the-ground coverage of 21 countries, and remote monitoring in ten other countries.
