Gianni Zurlini is full professor of ecology at the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences and Technologies at the University of Salento, Lecce, Italy. He leads the Landscape Ecology Laboratory, working on the assessment of ecosystem goods and services and ecological risk in social-ecological landscapes. He currently serves as associate editor of Ecological Processes and as coordinating editor for Landscape Ecology. He is the vice president of the International Association for Landscape Ecology.
