Hajat Sarah Matovu 56, a widow with 7 children; a social and grass root business entrepreneur, trained community based counselor / mentor (Ssenga), community advisory board member linking various community members to development bodies, an education and development advocate who sits on various school management committees and religious boards and a volunteer care giver to disadvantaged vulnerable children. I completed high school education and engaged in local council politics that led me in community mobilization of HIV and AIDS, promotion of water and sanitation, food security, universal primary education, with a rich participation in participatory action research, a trainer in functional adult literacy, trainer of trainers in HIV/and AIDS education, trainer of community based groups in finance and project management, group dynamics, savings and record keeping. I have worked with Salama Shield Foundation for 12 years coordinating 102 women groups in microcredit program. I have a passion to sustainably work in communities for changing lives.
