Biography

Janet Fiskio is Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies and Comparative American Studies at Oberlin College, where she teaches classes on climate change, environmental justice, food studies, and environmental humanities. She is currently at work on a manuscript entitled Counter Friction: Poetics and Politics in Climate Justice. In addition, she has several collaborative research projects underway on urban farming, race, and immigration in the Rust Belt. Janet serves on the Executive Council for the Association for the Study of Literature and Environment and is book review editor for Resilience: A Journal of the Environmental Humanities.
