Jean is an internationally recognized expert in women’s health, and a member of the Order of Canada. She is the founding director of Save the Mothers, spending eight months per year in Uganda and four months in Canada advocating for safe motherhood. As Associate Professor in Ob/Gyn at McMaster University, Canada, she has authored two books: Game Changers and Where Have All the Mothers Gone?
