John Finnigan is a past director of the Centre for Complex Systems Science and a chief research scientist at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation. He currently leads the Integrated Global Modelling program. He is a fellow of the Australian Academy of Science and the American Geophysical Union, a visiting professor at the School of Geophysical Sciences, University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and an affiliate scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, Boulder Colorado.
