Jørgen E. Olesen holds a research professorship in agriculture and climate change in the Department of Agroecology at Aarhus University in Denmark. His broad research agenda in agriculture- and environment-related subjects includes development of sustainable agriculture, climate change impacts, greenhouse gas emissions, and other environmental effects of agricultural land use and management. He was a lead author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.
