Joyashree Roy is a professor of economics at Jadavpur University, Kolkata in India. She founded and coordinates the Global Change Programme and Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund Project at Jadavpur University. Joyashree was a Ford Foundation postdoctoral fellow in environmental economics at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and received the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
