Karen Kellogg is an Associate Professor of Environmental Studies at Skidmore College, where she also directs the Water Resources Initiative and serves as the Director of Sustainability. Karen studied engineering as an undergraduate at the University of Iowa and received her Ph.D. in Ecology from the Pennsylvania State University. Karen teaches a variety of courses including Sustainable Development and the Engineering and Ecology of Energy, and she works with undergraduate students on an interdisciplinary array of research topics including historical and contemporary water-related conflicts, the evolution and ecology of aquatic ecosystems, and the design and implementation of renewable energy systems.
