Kate Mulvaney is a postdoctoral Social Scientist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Atlantic Ecology Division in Narragansett, Rhode Island, USA. She conducts environmental social science research in coastal communities. Prior to the EPA, Kate worked for several different environmental organizations, was a Knauss Fellow at the U.S. Department of State, and served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines. She has a B.S. in marine biology from Roger Williams University, an M.A. in marine affairs from the University of Rhode Island, and a Ph.D. in natural resources social science from Purdue University.
