Marisa Mazzotta is an Environmental Economist with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Atlantic Ecology Division. She received her Master's and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Rhode Island, and her Bachelor's degree from Brown University. Her research has focused on: non-market valuation of natural resources and environmental amenities; coastal, estuarine and marine ecosystem management; natural resource damage assessment; benefit-cost analysis; analysis of natural resource restoration; and interdisciplinary approaches to valuation of ecosystem services. Before coming to EPA, she conducted numerous policy and regulatory analyses as a consultant to government agencies and NGOs, and as an expert in litigation support. She has also been a research and adjunct faculty member at URI.
