Stephen Macekura is a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies of Culture. In 2013 he received his Ph.D. in history from the University of Virginia, where he studied United States, environmental, and international history. He is completing a book on the history of environmentalism and international development in the twentieth century.
